Original works and works-in-progress by composer-lyricist-playwright Howard Beckerman and his collaborations with other artists, musicians, and musical theater writers. Through after-the-show discussions, audiences have a chance to question the theater artists and to share their responses to new works-in-progress. Project participants include a company of veteran musical theater performers, directors, producers, educators, consultants, and audiences.

The American musical has been a unique contribution to the world of theater arts. THE NEW MUSICALS PROJECT of Heartworks International builds on this tradition, nurtures this art form, and gives our audiences the opportunity to offer input and help shape a new generation of American musicals.
